The West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (WBNUJS), Kolkata is inviting entries for the National Disability Rights Article Writing Competition 2025. This is a unique opportunity for law students, researchers, and professionals to critically engage with contemporary issues in disability rights and inclusive legal frameworks.
π About the Organisers
Established in 1999, WBNUJS is among Indiaβs premier law institutions, known for its commitment to academic rigor, social responsibility, and inclusivity. Over the years, it has hosted acclaimed events such as the NUJS-HSF Moot, NUJS ADR Mediation Competition, and Para-InvictaβIndiaβs only sports fest exclusively for differently-abled students.
The university has also launched Indiaβs first national-level Disability Law Moot focused on the legal rights of persons with disabilities (PwDs), under the RPwD Act, 2016.
π About the Competition
NUJS is organizing this Article Writing Competition as part of its wider initiative to promote inclusive legal education. Participants are encouraged to submit original, research-backed articles exploring legal issues affecting persons with disabilities in both national and global contexts.
This competition aims to spark conversations around intersectionality, digital accessibility, AI & disability law, and much more.
