 About the Journal

The NLIU Law Review is the esteemed flagship publication of the National Law Institute University (NLIU), Bhopal. Managed and edited by students, this peer-reviewed biannual journal has earned national recognition over the past fifteen years for promoting academic excellence in legal scholarship.

With twenty-four published editions, the journal has consistently featured high-quality legal writing and has been indexed on prominent databases such as Manupatra, SCC Online, and HeinOnline.

About the Current Call for Papers

The Editorial Board is now accepting original, unpublished manuscripts for Volume XV, Issue I of the NLIU Law Review. This is your chance to contribute to one of India’s leading student-run law journals and share your insights with a broad legal readership.

Themes

There is no restriction on subject matter. Submissions from any branch of law are welcome, provided the research is relevant, contemporary, and original in its scope.

Categories & Word Limit

  • Articles: 4,000 – 10,000 words
  • Case Notes: 2,000 – 5,000 words
  • Legislative Comments: 1,000 – 3,000 words
  • Book Reviews: 1,000 – 3,000 words

Note: Word limits exclude the abstract and footnotes.

 Submission Guidelines

  • Abstract Required: Each submission must include an abstract of 250–300 words outlining the core idea and structure of the manuscript.
  • Authorship Limit: Maximum of two co-authors per manuscript.
  • One Submission Rule: Only one submission per author or co-author team is allowed.
  • Format: Submissions must be in .docx format and compatible with Microsoft Word 2007 or later.
  • No Author Identification: The manuscript should not contain any identifying information. Author details must be included only in the submission form.
  • Mode of Submission: Submissions will only be accepted via the official submission link (given below the post). Email submissions will not be considered.
  • Deadline: Submissions must be made before 11:59 PM on August 7, 2025.

Editorial and Review Policy

  • All manuscripts will undergo a rigorous peer-review process.
  • Submissions must conform to the Copyright and Open Access Policy of the journal.
  • The Editorial Board reserves the right to request modifications, reject non-conforming manuscripts, or amend submission policies.
  • All editorial decisions shall be final and binding.
  • There are no publication or processing fees.
